Abstract
KNOWLEDGE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ATTITUDES AND PRACTICES OF SANITARY HYGIENE OF FOOD HANDLERS AT UPTD NUTRITION INSTALLATION OF BANGLI MENTAL HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Health problems, especially food hygiene and sanitation problems, are very complex problems and are actually not new problems. One of the factors that affect hygiene and sanitation is the food handler factor. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and sanitation hygiene attitudes and practices of food handlers at the UPTD Nutrition Installation of Bangli Mental Hospital. This type of research is observational with a cross sectional design. The sample size in this study was 29 food handlers with inclusion criteria, namely: 1) food officers who were in the UPTD Nutrition Installation of Bangli Mental Hospital; 2) able to communicate well; 3) able to read and write well; 4) willing to be a research sample. Data is collected by filling out knowledge questionnaires, attitudes and practice data are carried out by observation. The study used a spearman rank correlation test. The results showed an average of 94.5 knowledge of nutritionists and food handlers, an average of 81 nutritionist and food handler attitudes, and an average of 97.1 nutritional and food handler practices. The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and attitude, and there was a relationship between attitudes and the sanitary hygiene practices of food handlers at the Nutrition Installation of Bangli Mental Hospital (p<0.05). It is recommended for food handlers, namely, nutritionists and food handlers maintain knowledge, attitudes and practices of sanitary hygiene in order to remain well-rated.
