Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FE VITAMIN C CONSUMPTION AND COMPLIANCE WITH TABLET CONSUMPTION WITH BLOOD ADDITION WITH ANEMIA STATUS IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS 2 ABIANSEMAL ABSTRACT Anemia is one of the four main nutritional problems in Indonesia and most anemia is caused by iron deficiency. Young women are the assets of the Indonesian nation to achieve a good generation in the future. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between consumption of Fe, vitamin C and compliance with blood-supplemental tambet consumption with the anemia status of students at Senior High School 2 Abiansemal. This type of research is observational with a cross sectional design. The sample size of this study was 68 students. Variables were collected using a recall, filling out questionnaires and measuring blood hemoglobin level. Data is presented with frequency table and cross table and then analyzed using chi square. The results showed that there were 40 samples (58,8%) with a low level of Fe consumption, 51 samples (75%) with a low level of vitamin C consumption and 20 samples (29.4%) who did not comply with taking blood-added tablets. A total of 24 samples (35.3%) had anemia.results of Chi Square showed that there was a relationship between Fe consumption and anemia status (p value = 0.045) and there was no relationship between Vitamin C consumption and anemia status (p value = 0.558). And there is a relationship between adherence to the consumption of blood-added tablets with anemia status (p value = 0.000). Keywords: anemia, iron, vitamin C, compliance, adolescent girls.
