Abstract

KNOWLADGE, ATTITUDE, AND PRACTICE OF BREAKFAST BEFORE AND AFTER NUTRITIONAL EDUCATION THROUGH WHATSAPP WITH VIDEO MEDIA IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT AT SMP NEGERI 1 TABANAN ABSTRACT Adolescent trend to experience changes and then will appear various problems and behaviors in their lives, both from eating behavior, breakfast habits. Changes in behavior and habits are caused by the knowledge, attitudes and practices of adolescents. Efforts to reduce of nutritional problems in adolescents is through nutritional education. Nutritional education using video through the WhatsApp application. The purpose this study to determine the differences in knowledge, attitude and practice of breakfast before and after nutritional education through WhatsApp with video media. This study is a pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design which was applied to 81 respondents using proportional random sampling. This study research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Tabanan in December 2021 – January 2022. Data be gathered used instrument a questionnaire of knowledge, attitudes and breakfast practices. The results of breakfast knowledge before given education have a categories sufficient 61.7%. After knowledge education, most of the categories good 77.8%. Attitudes about breakfast before education in most of the categories sufficient 66.7%. After education, most of the attitudes were in the good category, 75.3%. The practice of breakfast before education is more in the less category of 34.6%. After practical education, most of the good categories were 75.3%. Breakfast knowledge value before given education have a lowest score 60,00, highest score 90,00, mean score 72,22. Breakfast knowledge after given education have a lowest score 70,00, highest score 100,00, mean score 83,95. The results of breakfast attitude before given education have a lowest score 55,00, highest score 97,50, mean score 73,70. Breakfast attitude after given education have a lowest score 60,00, highest score 100,00, mean score 80,61. And then the results of breakfast practice before given education have a lowest score 50,00, highest score 80,00, mean score 65,43. Breakfast practice after given education have a lowest score 50,00, highest score 100,00, mean score 83,03. From the Wilcoxon test, it is known to there are differences in knowledge, attitude and practice of breakfast before and after nutritional education through WhatsApp with video media.
