Abstract
Chronic Renal Failure is a non-communicable disease and occurs in the long term which is indirectly caused by a lifestyle or lifestyle of food consumption that is not good. Riskesdas 2018 data shows the prevalence of chronic renal failure who have or are on dialysis for residents aged 15 years who have been diagnosed with chronic renal failure is 19.3%. This study aims to assess dietary compliance and urea levels in patients with chronic renal failure on hemodialysis at the Rumah Sakit Umum Negara. This research is a descriptive observational study with a cross sectional approach. Subjects who participated in this study were 20 patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis. The data collection of the characteristics of the subjects used an identity questionnaire and data on dietary compliance used a 24-hour recall form. All subjects had high levels of urea with a percentage of 100%. Most of the subjects had a good level of dietary compliance in terms of the type of food ingredients with an average of 72.5%. Most of the subjects had poor adherence levels in consuming energy, protein, and potassium intake as needed with an average intake of 62.5%, 60%, and 95%, respectively. Most of the subjects had good adherence levels in sodium intake as needed. with an average of 57.5%. All subjects had high urea levels with an average of 160 mg/dL.
