Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF THE DEGREE OF DIABETIC ULCERS IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS AT SANJIWANI HOSPITAL GIANYAR IN 2022 ABSTRACT Diabetic ulcers are one of the chronic complications of diabetes mellitus.Diabetic ulcers are one of the chronic complications of diabetes in the form of open sores on the skin surface which can be accompanied by local tissue death. Assessment of the degree of diabetic ulcers is carried out as a basis for carrying out the wound care provided. The Meggit-Wagner scale is a scale that has the advantage of being simple and easy to remember which can be used as a tool to assess the degree of diabetic ulcers based on the location and depth of ulceration. This study aims to describe the degree of diabetic ulcers in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar in 2022. The type of research used was descriptive research with a quantitative study design, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The type of data used in this study is primary data using observation sheets. The sample used was 35 people who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that most of the respondents or as many as (54%) suffered from grade 3 ulcers which were characterized by deep abscesses and edema. A total of (37%) suffered from grade 4 ulcers. Most of the respondents were female (51.4%). Based on the results of the research conducted, it is hoped that health workers will apply a more detailed assessment of the ulcer degree in order to determine the appropriate treatment. Keywords: Diabetic Ulcer, Diabetes Mellitus, Scale Meggit-Wagner GAMBARAN DERAJAT ULKUS DIABETIKUM PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2 DI RSUD SANJIWANI GIANYAR TAHUN 2022 ABSTRAK Ulkus diabetikum merupakan salah satu komplikasi kronis diabetes mellitus. Ulkus diabetikum merupakan salah satu komplikasi kronis diabetes yang berupa luka terbuka pada permukaan kulit yang dapat disertai dengan adanya kematian jaringan setempat. Pengkajian derajat ulkus diabetikum dilakukan sebagai dasar untuk melakukan perawatan luka yang diberikan. Skala Meggit- Wagner merupakan skala yang memiliki suatu kelebihan yang sederhana dan mudah diingat yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat untuk menilai derajat ulkus diabetikum berdasarkan lokasi dan kedalaman ulserasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran derajat ulkus diabetikum pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2 di RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar Tahun 2022. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan desain studi kuantitatif, teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dengan menggunakan lembar observasi. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 35 orang yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden atau sebanyak (54%) menderita ulkus derajat 3 yang ditandai dengan adanya abses dalam dan edema. Sebanyak (37%) menderita ulkus derajat 4. Sebagian besar responden dengan jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak (51.4%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, diharapkan tenaga kesehatan menerapkan pengkajian derajat ulkus yang lebih mendetail agar dapat menentukan perawatan yang sesuai.
