Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE HAZARDS OF CIGARETTE ON DENTAL AND ORAL HEALTHIN ADOLESCENT SMOKERS OF YODHA BAYU SERAYA (The study was conducted in Banjar Tukad Buah Seraya Timur in 2022) ABSTRACT Smoking habits are one of the triggers for the emergence of disorders and diseases of the oral cavity, among others, can cause discolored teeth, thickening of the mucosa, gingivitis, and even oral cancer. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of knowledge about the dangers of smoking on dental and oral health in adolescent smokers at the Yodha Bayu Seraya Youth Organization in 2022. The respondents of this study were 30 people. This type of research is descriptive research. The results showed the percentage level of knowledge about the dangers of smoking on dental and oral health in adolescent smokers at the Yodha Bayu Seraya Youth Organization in 2022 with a good category of 20%, sufficient category The average level of knowledge about dental and oral health in smokers is 66.6% with sufficient category. In conclusion, adolescent smokers with the highest percentage of dental and oral health in the age group of 17 years are in the sufficient category, and the average level of dental and oral health knowledge in adolescent smokers is in the sufficient category.53%, and a poor category 27%. The average level of knowledge about dental and oral health in smokers is 66.6% with sufficient category. In conclusion, adolescent smokers with the highest percentage of dental and oral health in the age group of 17 years are in the sufficient category, and the average level of dental and oral health knowledge in adolescent smokers is in the sufficient category. GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN TENTANG BAHAYA ROKOK TERHADAP KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA REMAJA PEROKOK KARANG TARUNA YODHA BAYU SERAYA (Kajian dilakukan di Banjar Tukad Buah Seraya Timur Tahun 2022) ABSTRAK Kebiasaan merokok merupakan salah satu pencetus timbulnya gangguan serta penyakit rongga mulut, antara lain dapat mengakibatkan gigi berubah warna, penebalan mukosa, gingivitis bahkan penyakit kanker mulut. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Tentang Bahaya Rokok Terhadap Kesehatan Gigi dan Mulut Pada Remaja Perokok di Karang Taruna Yodha Bayu Seraya Tahun 2022. Responden penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase tingkat pengetahuan tentang bahaya rokok terhadap kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada remaja perokok di Karang Taruna Yodha Bayu Seraya Tahun 2022 dengan kategori baik 20%, kategori cukup 53%, dan kategori kurang 27%. Rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada perokok sebesar 66,6% dengan kategori cukup. Kesimpulannya remaja perokok dengan persentase tertinggi tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada kelompok umur 17 tahun dengan kategori cukup, dan rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada remaja perokok dengan kategori cukup.
