Abstract
The profession of midwife is a professional staff who has the role of providing comprehensive and continuous midwifery care since pregnancy to postpartum in reducing the Maternal Mortality Rate and the Infant Mortality Rate. This final project report is made to determine the results of midwifery care for mother “YD”, 24 years old, G2P1A0, 39 weeks of pregnancy. The methods that used are interviews, examination, observation, and documentation. Mrs “YD” during pregnancy have excess weight gain as a result of consuming snacks. The condition of the mother since 39 weeks of pregnancy is within normal limits. There are no complications during the delivery process. The postpartum period of Mrs “YD” takes place physiologically, the process of uterine involution, discharge of lochea, and the process of breastfeeding. The growth and development of newborns baby up to 42 days of age takes place physiologically. Midwife is expected to increase knowledge, provide care according to standards, and authority so as to increase early detection of complications, prevent problems and complications during pregnancy, childbirth, and infants.
