Abstract

Family planning visits or decreasing family planning participation will be at risk in rising pregnancy. Injectable family planning acceptors during the COVID-19 pandemic are still depend on health services to get injection family planning services. Re-injection greatly affects the effectiveness of contraception. The aimed of this research were to determine the relationship between acceptors' knowledge of the injection contraceptive method and visit compliance during the COVID-19 pandemic in The Health Centre of Abiansemal III. This type of research uses the analytical correlation method with cross sectional design conducted in March until May 2021 using nonprobability sampling technique with purposive sampling method. The sample consisted of 57 DMPA injection family planning acceptors. The research instrument used a questionnaire and family planning acceptor cards. Data analysis used univariate in the form of frequency distribution and bivariate using Chi Square with a significance level of p<0.05. The results showed that most of the respondents' knowledge was in the known category (57.9%). Most of the respondents' compliance was in the unknown category (52.6%). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.013) and compliance with visits during the COVID-19 pandemic in The Health Centre of Abiansemal III. Midwives are expected to be able to provide education and IEC through whatsapp groups during the pandemic period so that acceptors remain obedient to the visit.
