Abstract

Riskesdas data (2018) shows that the prevalence of malnutrition in pregnant women is 17.3%. Pregnant women with malnutrition can increase the risk of anemia and chronic energy deficiency (CED) and have a high risk of giving birth to babies with low birth weight (LBW), death during childbirth, and postpartum bleeding. This study aims to determine description of the nutrition status by pregnant women in Gianyar I Primary Health Care On 2020. This type of research is a descriptive study with a cross sectional design. The number of samples in this study were 508 pregnant women who qualified with inclusion and exclusion criteria with non-probability sampling technique. The data were obtained from the maternal cohort on 2020. The results of the study by univariate analysis are overview of the nutrition status of pregnant women based on the LILA, namely pregnant women with CED as 47 cases (9, 3 %) and not CED 461 cases (90.7 %). The description of the nutrition status by pregnant women based on hemoglobin levels, namely pregnant women with mild anemia as 73 cases (14.4%), moderate anemia 10 cases (2.0%), and not anemia 425 cases (83.7%). The conclusion of this study is that most of the nutrition status by pregnant women in Gianyar I Primary Health Care On 2020 is not CED and not anemia. Suggestions in this study are to increase collaboration between MCH room officers and nutrition program holders in providing nutrition counseling for pregnant women to reduce the case of CED and Anemia.
