Abstract

FACTORS AFFECTING FOOD ACCEPTANCE OF STUDENTS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ABSTRACT Acceptance of school-age children to food can be seen from the amount of food consumed and food acceptance can also be assessed from the answers to questions related to the food consumed. Many factors affect acceptance, one of which is affected by the appearance of the food and the taste of the food. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect the students acceptance of food at school. This research is a systematic review in April 2021 with a qualitative research method. Subjects in this study were elementary school students, male and female. The research data includes factors in terms of appearance of food on acceptance, factors in terms of taste to acceptability, and a description of the acceptance of food for students in elementary schools obtained from the journals under study then combined, compared and concluded. The results of the literature review of 4 journals found that the percentage of food appearance and taste to acceptability was categorized as good, color 23.3% - 61,%, texture 33.3% - 59.7%, aroma 42.93% - 63.6%, taste 40-61.2%. Based on 3 out of 5 journals, it is stated that students' acceptance of food is good. Keywords : Food Acceptance, Students, Food Appearance, Taste, Elementary School
