Abstract

Maternal and infant mortality in Indonesia is still quite high. Midwives are one of the health workers who have an important position in reducing the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). The author of this final report aims to determine the results of the application of maternal midwifery care "LA" from 29 weeks of gestation 3 days to 42 days of the postpartum period. Midwifery care is provided from January to April 2021, in the working area of the Kediri 1 Public Health Center UPTD, hospital and mother's house "LA". The method used is a case report with data collection techniques through interviews, examination, observation and documentation. The mother at 38 weeks of gestation was diagnosed with oligohydramnios and the fetal head had not yet entered the upper pelvis. The delivery process takes place in a caesarean section due to premature rupture of the membranes and oligohydramnios as well as fetal distress. During the puerperium, there were no signs of danger to the mother. The process of lochea involution and the process of lactation up to 42 days of the puerperium is normal. Midwifery care for infants according to standards. The development of the condition of newborns, neonates to 42 days of age baby goes physiologically. Midwives are expected to be able to provide midwifery care according to standards and authority so as to prevent problems and complications during pregnancy, childbirth, childbirth and the baby.
