Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS DURING MENOPAUSAL WOMEN AT PUSKESMAS II DENPASAR UTARA ABSTRACT Blood glucose is the most important form of carbohydrate and is a dietary carbohydrate which is absorbed in large quantities into the blood and converted in the liver. Increased intra-abdominal central body fat in menopausal women has an important role in the development of insulin resistance so that it can increase blood glucose levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of blood glucose levels in menopausal women in Puskesmas II Denpasar Utara. This type of research is descriptive research. The data in this study were obtained through the medical records of 50 menopausal women who had their blood glucose checked at Puskesmas II Denpasar Utara. The results showed that menopausal women with normal blood glucose levels were 26% and 74% high. The age group with high blood glucose levels was mostly in the 55-59 years age group, amounting to 26%. Menopausal women with normal BMI who have high blood glucose levels at 58%. The number of menopausal women who have normal blood pressure and blood glucose levels at high is 26%. Keywords : blood glucose levels, menopausal women
