Abstract
Nutritional status is indirectly influenced by family characteristics, especially mothers. The characteristics of the mother also determine the nutritional status of children under five. Seririt III Health Center covers 6 villages with 23 posyandu. The distribution of nutritional status of the Seririt III Public Health Center is dominated by Bestala village with over nutrition data as many as 2 toddlers out of 54 toddlers (3.70%), underweight 6 out of 5 toddlers (11.11%). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of nutritional status based on maternal characteristics including age, level of education, occupation, knowledge of nutrition, parity and parenting of children under five in Bestala Village, Seririt District, Buleleng Regency. independent variable and dependent variable measured at the same time. The research subjects are mothers who have toddlers aged 12-59 months in Bestala Village with a sample of 40 people. Fisher's exact test results show that there is a relationship between maternal characteristics and parenting patterns with nutritional status. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between nutritional status based on the characteristics of mothers in Bestala Village, Seririt District, Buleleng Regency and there is a Relationship between Nutritional Status Based on Parenting Patterns in Bestala Village, Seririt District, Buleleng Regency.
