Abstract

Mental disorders that occur in the era of globalization and free competition tend to increase. One of the mental disorders that are often found and treated is schizophrenia. The nursing problem that often arises in schizophrenic patients is social isolation. Social isolation is an attempt to avoid interaction with other people or avoid relationships with other people. Nursing management that can be given to patients with social isolation disorders is socialization group activity therapy, namely therapy that aims to help clients who experience social isolation, to be able to interact with others and reduce maladaptive behavior. This study aims to analyze social isolation nursing care for Mr S with social isolation problems using socialization group activity therapy in the Arjuna room at the Bali Provincial Mental Hospital in 2021. Evaluation on Mr S after therapy is good eye contact and behavior can be directed. Patients are also able to interact with nurses and have one friend. Socialization group activity therapy is very effective in helping patients increase their social activities so that the results of increased social involvement, being able to make friends and converse with one patient are obtained. It is hoped that this research will be able to provide information to improve the quality of mental nursing services for the next author in developing mental nursing service methods.
