Abstract

Midwives are health workers who are at the forefront of determining the health status of mothers and children. Midwives have roles as executors (independent tasks, collaboration and dependence), managers (basic services and participating in teams), educators (providing health education and counseling to clients, training and guiding cadres), and researchers. This report aims to determine the results of the application of midwifery care to primigravida "KD" 23 years old mother from 38 weeks of gestation to 42 days postpartum period. This study uses a case study with data collection techniques through interviews, examination, observation, and documentation. The development of maternal pregnancy "KD" runs fisiologically. Mothers give birth vaginally without complications. The baby was born crying immediately, active muscle tone, reddish skin and birth weight of 3400 grams. The process of uterine involution, discharge of lochea and lactation during the puerperium is normal. Infant care up to 42 days is carried out according to standards. The care during the postpartum period is carried out in accordance with the postpartum care standards. Midwives are expected to provide midwifery care according to standards so that if there are danger signs and complications in the mother and baby, it can be immediately handled to help reduce morbidity and mortality in mothers and babies.
