Abstract
Pneumonia is an infection or inflammation of the lungs caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites that can be spread in various ways, namely when coughing and sneezing through the air that is inhaled by someone who does not have pneumonia. The writing of this KIA-N aims to find out how ineffective airway clearance nursing care for patients with pneumonia in the emergency room of the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar in 2021. The results of this KIA-N writing show that there are similarities between subjective data and objective data in the two patients managed, namely the cough does not occur. effective, dyspnea, unable to cough, excessive sputum, rhonchi, respiratory frequency changes in the diagnosis, there are nursing diagnosis data according to components P (problem), E (etiology), Signs and symptoms. The nursing plan is given in accordance with the SLKI and SIKI which consists of the main intervention and the supporting intervention, which is emphasized on providing effective cough training interventions. The implementation of nursing is given in accordance with the nursing plan, namely the provision of effective cough training interventions, actions carried out in the form of observation, therapy, education and collaboration in accordance with the author's reference theory. The results of the evaluation using the SOAP method and the evaluation found that there were similar results in both patients, namely being able to excrete secretions after being given an effective coughing exercise intervention. The results of this final paper are recommended to health workers, especially nurses, to be able to apply effective cough training interventions to patients with ineffective airway clearance nursing problems as independent nursing actions in the field.
