Abstract

The Relationship of Lack of Energy Chronic With Anemia Insidence In Pregnant Women In Public Health Center Nusa Penida III Regency Klungkung ABSTRACT The nutritional status of pregnant women can be measured using anthropometric status, one of which is the Upper Arm Circumference. Upper Arm Circumference <23.5 cm reflects that pregnant women suffer from chronic energy deficiency. The research objective was to determine the relationship between chronic energy deficiency and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the Public Health Center Nusa Penida III Regency Klungkung. This type of correlational analytic research with cross sectional approach. The sample collection technique was total sampling, amounting to 349 pregnant women who experience chronic energy deficiency. Data collection using secondary data from patient medical records. Data analysis used univariate in the form of frequency distribution and bivariate using Chi Square with a significance level of p <0.05. The results showed that the proportion of chronic energy deficiency in pregnant women was 16%. The incidence of anemia in pregnant women is 9.5%. The results of the analysis test showed that there was a relationship between chronic energy deficiency and the incidence of anemia in pregnant women (p = 0.001). Mothers who did not have chronic energy deficiency tended to be less likely to experience anemia. It is recommended to Health Center Nusa Penida III to provide education about the impact of anemia and chronic energy deficiency on pregnant women by using posters and electronic media.
