Abstract
The Relationship between Nutrition Consumption of Macro and Nutrition Status Towards Badminton Athletes at Sukma Club Klungkung Bali ABSTRACT Agility is a physical component that is widely used in sports. A person's agility is influenced by many factors, including symatotype, age, gender, fatigue, exercise frequency, exercise duration and nutritional status. Adequate consumption of nutrients, especially macro nutrients, will affect both during training and during competitions. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between macro nutrient consumption and nutritional status on the agility of badminton athletes at Club Sukma Klungkung Bali. This type of research is observational using a cross sectional design with a total sample of 24 people. Data collection using 2 x 24 hour recall, agility form, sample identity, exercise frequency questionnaire. Data analysis used Spearman Rank Correlation at a 5% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed that as many as 11 people (45.8%) had good agility, 17 people (70.8%) consumed protein athletes in the good category, 17 people (70.8%) consumed fat athletes in the good category, as many as 16 people (66.6%) consumed carbohydrate athletes in the good category and as many as 18 people (75.0%) had good nutritional status. From the results of the Spearman Rank Correlation statistical analysis showed that there was no relationship between consumption of macro nutrients (protein, fat, and carbohydrates) and agility (p> 0.05), there was a relationship between consumption of protein and fat and nutritional status (p <0.05). ), there is no relationship between carbohydrate consumption and nutritional status (p> 0.05), and there is no relationship between nutritional status and athletic agility (p> 0.05). It is recommended for athletes to pay more attention to consumption patterns with a balanced menu to suit the physical activity undertaken and to meet the nutrients in the body so that they can maintain an ideal body weight.
