Abstract
Based on the results of observations made at Pasar Bebandem, the market building construction feels comfortable and well maintained because the market building is modern because it has just been renovated. However, the sanitary conditions at Bebandem People's Market are still poor because there are still a lot of garbage piles scattered in front of the market and causing an unpleasant odor. Garbage that is scattered around the entrance to the market can cause the breeding of disease-transmitting animals / vectors such as flies. The purpose of this study was to determine the state of building construction, the state of sanitation and the level of fly density in the Bebandem People's Market. This type of research is a descriptive study conducted by means of observation. The result of this research is that the condition of the building construction is categorized as good to meet the requirements, the condition of the sanitation facilities is categorized as good and the level of fly density is in the high / dense category. The suggestion that the writer wants to give to market managers is that it is hoped that male and female toilets are separated and added with clear signs / symbols, carry out waste sorting, spraying flies and always maintain the cleanliness of the market. Traders are expected to provide closed trash cans at each kiosk / booth and traders selling food should use non-wooden cutting tools because they are not in accordance with the requirements.
