Abstract

DENTIFICATION OF Aspergillus Species AND SUSCEPTIBILITY TEST TO VORICONAZOLE IN WANGAYA GENERAL HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Background: Bad air quality in Wangaya General Hospital can to effect nosocomial infections. Nosocomial infections can caused by an airborne fungus such as Aspergillus species. Method: This research uses descriptive research with the aimed to know the species of Aspergillus in the third class hospitalization room of Wangaya General Hospital and susceptibility test to voriconazole. The sample of research was from the seven hospitalizations room in third class of Wangaya General Hospital which included three points of air sampling. The identification of Aspergillus species is carried out by means of air fungus breeding, subculture, macroscopic and microscopic observations. Examination of susceptibility test in this study was using disc diffusion method. Result: Based on the result of the research as many as 27 Aspergillus sp. identified as Aspergillus niger (51.85%), Aspergillus fumigatus (22.22%), Aspergillus flavus (18.52%), Aspergillus versicolor (7.41%). Susceptibility test results showed that as many as 27 (100%) cultures of Aspergillus species are still sensitive. Conclusion: Based on the results can be concluded found of Aspergillus species and still sensitive to voriconazole antifungals. Keywords: Airborne, Aspergillus sp, Susceptibility, Voriconazole IDENTIFIKASI Aspergillus Species DAN UJI SENSITIVITAS TERHADAP VORIKONAZOL DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM DAERAH WANGAYA ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Kualitas udara yang buruk di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Wangaya dapat menimbulkan infeksi nosokomial.
