Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE OF PREGNANT WOMEN AND COMPLIANCE WITH TRIPLE ELIMINATION EXAMINATION IN REGIONAL TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION OF PUSKESMAS I MENDOYO IN 2021 ABSTRACT Pregnancy accompanied by HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), Syphilis and Hepatitis B are caused by viruses that have similarities in the mode of transmission. HIV in pregnant women increased and was found at the age of 20-29 years. The prevalence of pregnant women with HIV is 0.39%, pregnant women with syphilis are 1.7% and pregnant women with Hepatitis B are 2.5%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of pregnant women and compliance with triple elimination examinations in the regional technical implementation unit of Puskesmas I Mendoyo. This type of research is a correlational analytic study with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling. The sample used in this study were all pregnant women who did antenatal check-ups at Puskesmas I Mendoyo who met the inclusion criteria as many as 70 respondents. The results showed that 76,9% of respondents knew about triple elimination and compliance with triple elimination examinations and 48,4% of respondents did not know about compliance with triple elimination examinations. The Chi Square test results show the p value = 0.027. Based on these results, it was concluded that there was a relationship between knowledge of pregnant women and compliance with the triple elimination examination. It is recommended that pregnant women carry out the advice that has been given in conducting triple eliminationexaminations so as to reduce maternal and infant morbidity and mortality.
