Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF KNOWLEDGE LEVEL ABOUT HIV/AIDS IN ADOLESCENTS AT KERAMBITAN VILLAGE IN 2021 ABSTRACT HIV is a virus that infect white blood cells and causes a decrease in human immunity. AIDS is a collection of symptoms of immune system damage not caused by congenital diseases but caused by infections caused by HIV. HIV/AIDS prevention can use antiretroviral therapy that reduces HIV transmission by non-HIV sexual partners. This study aims to identify the level of knowledge based on the characteristics of adolecents in Kerambitan Village on HIV/AIDS prevention in 2021 with descriptive reserch methods with quantitative approaches and using non-propability sampling techniques, namely purposive sampling. The results of this study showed that out of 143 respondents the most adolecents were 19 years old that is as many 55 people (38%), at least 15 and 16 years old that is 11 people (8%). While the picture of knowledge most teenagers have enough knowledge that is as many as 87 people (62%). Knowledge of HIV/AIDS by age, the best category found at the age of 19 years as many as 27 people. While the category is quite most found at the age of 19 years as many as 28 people (51%), and with the category off less most found at the age of 15 years as many as 2 people (18%). Therefore, it is expected that the nearest institution will provide health education related to HIV/AIDS. Keywords : Knowledge Level of HIV/AIDS; Adolecents
