Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF MOTHER’S KNOWLEDGE LEVEL ABOUT HANDLING FEBRILE SEIZURE IN TODLLERS IN BANJAR MEKAR BHUANA PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER I WEST DENPASAR IN 2021 ABSTRACT Febrile seizures are the most common neurological disorders in children. Fever seizure is an emergency condition that requires first treatment. Any seizure that lasts longer (more than 5 minutes) is dangerous because it can cause damage to brain cells. The knowledge of a mother has an effect in taking action, the better the mother's knowledge of illness or health problems, the better it is in handling it and vice versa, if the mother's knowledge is lacking, the handling of health problems will be less good. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of maternal knowledge about the handling of fever seizures in toddlers in Banjar Mekar Bhuana Puskesmas I West Denpasar in 2021. This research uses descriptive quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted starting from February - April 2021. The number of samples used was 57 people using probability sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire given to respondents using google form. The results of this study indicate that most respondents have a sufficient level of knowledge as many as 36 people (63.2%). Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is hoped that this researcher can be used as a basis for further research with different methods so that the results obtained are more optimal.
