Abstract
Nursing Care of Activity Intolerance in Chronic Kidney Disease Undergoing HD with Benson Relaxation in Hemodialysis Room of Sanjiwani Hospital in 2021 ABSTRACT Chronic kidney disease is progressive and irreversible decline in kidney function characterized by decrease of glomerular filtration rate. Patients with chronic kidney disease undergo hemodialysis to replace their kidney function. One of the nursing problems that arise in chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis is activity intolerance. This study aims to know nursing care of activity intolerance in chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis, including nursing assessments to nursing evaluations and analysis of Benson Relaxation as non-pharmacological therapy. The method of this study is case study wjich taken during practice of Specialization lesson in Hemodialysis of Sanjiwani Hospital. The result of this study showed that the patient felt post HD fatigue, slight dizzy, felt weak, felt uncomfortable doing activities, had sleep four to five hours after undergoing HD, general condition was weak, and anemia. The nursing diagnosis is activity intolerance related to imbalance between oxygen supply and demand. The nursing plan refers to the SLKI and SIKI. Implementation was given according to nursing plan and giving Benson Relaxation which is carried out for 20 minutes. The result of nursing evaluation, activity intolerance resolved. The conclusion of this study is Benson Relaxation is effective in resolve activity intolerance. Keywords: chronic kidney disease, activity intolerance, Benson Relaxation
