Abstract
NURSING CARE OF ACUTE PAIN IN PATIENTS TN.D. WITH BURN IN THE BURN UNIT OF GENERAL SANGLAH HOSPITAL DENPASAR ABSTRACT Pain is defined as unpleasant sensory and emotional experiences associated with actual or potential tissue damage. Burn pain management is an integral part of burn therapy. Pain in burns is acute pain, poor handling will cause complications, one of which is chronic pain. The method in writing this final scientific paper for nurses is in the form of a case study taken during practice in the Burn Unit of Sanglah Hospital Denpasar by providing nursing care for three days. Based on the results of the assessment, the main nursing problem found was acute pain. It was concluded that the priority diagnosis in this case was acute pain related to physical injury agents (burns). Nursing interventions and implementations given to reduce pain are to teach deep breathing relaxation techniques. The results of the evaluation of nursing interventions that have been carried out with pain management are obtained from pain on a scale of five to pain on a scale of two. It is hoped that deep breathing relaxation techniques and collaborative actions can still be applied in the inpatient room as a form of management to reduce the level/scale of pain. Key words: Burns, acute pain, deep breath relaxation
