Abstract
Pain is the response most understood by individuals when experiencing an injury. It is also a personal experience that is expressed differently by each individual and pain includes individual discomfort sensations caused by physical injury agents such as appendectomy surgery. One of the pain management methods is by using non-pharmacological techniques. The purpose of this case study is to determine the effectiveness of nursing care in post appendectomy patients on the main problem of pain with nursing interventions providing Benson relaxation therapy. Intervention is given for 3 days for approximately 15-20 minutes. The results obtained after giving nursing care with Benson relaxation therapy are that the pain scale can be reduced to a scale of 2 (numeric rating scale). Benson Relaxation can help relieve pain with a combination of pharmacological and nonpharmacological techniques. Keywords: Appendicitis, Benson, Relaxation
