Abstract
DESCRIPTION PREMATURE RUPTURE OF MEMBRANES AT SURYA HUSADHA HOSPITAL DENPASAR 2020 ABSTRACT Premature rupture of membranes is an obstetric emergency that can increase maternal and infant morbidity and mortality due to infection. The incidence of PROM is 3-18% in preterm pregnancy, whereas in term pregnancy is 8-10%. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of Premature rupture of membranes in maternal labor at Surya Husadha Hospital Denpasar in 2020. This study used a descriptive observational design. The sample size was determined by using non-probability sampling technique with simple random sampling method, the number of samples was 274 samples from a population of 879 mothers. Collecting data using secondary data which is analyzed using univariate analysis. The results showed that PROM in labor mothers was 22.6%, maternal age was <20 years (100%), based on parity grandemultipara (40%), preterm gestational age (45.45%), secondary education (27.37 %), has a job as an entrepreneur (33.33%), anemia (61.11%), has a history of PROM (83.33%) and intrauterine pressure (75%). The conclusion of this study is that the occurrence of PROM at Surya Husadha Hospital Denpasar mostly occurs in mothers aged <20 years, grandemultipara parity, preterm pregnancy, secondary education, has a job as an entrepreneur, anemia, has a history of PROM and intrauterine pressure Key words: Premature rupture of membranes, characteristics, Maternity
