Abstract
THE DESCRIPTION OF NUTRITIONAL STATUS BASED ON WEIGHT BY AGE FOR CHILDREN UNDER FIVE IN BEBANDEM VILLAGE WORKING AREA OF PUSKESMAS BEBANDEM 2021 ABSTRACT Good nutritional status is needed by humans in all age ranges, especially children under five. The nutritional status of children under five is assessed based on 4 indices, one of them is based on the weight index by age. This study aims to determine the nutritional status based on the weight by age in children under five in Bebandem Village, Puskesmas Bebandem Work Area. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative descriptive design, the sample is 102 children under five. The type of data collected in this study is primary data through direct observation and measurement. The sample technique used was purposive sampling. The result of the study showed that most of the respondents were in the 12-24 month age group namely as much as 30.4% and male gender namely as much as 52.0%. Most of the children under five in this study with nutritional status in the category of good nutrition, namely as much as 91,2 %. The average nutritional status based on weight by age for children under five is -0.60 SD (good nutrition). It is recommended that local health officers be able to maintain and improve activities related to the nutritional status of children under five.
