Abstract

THE FACTORS RELATED TO COMPLETE BASIC IMMUNIZATION STATUS OF INFANTS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AT THE VIDYAN MEDIKA CLINIC ABSTRACT The infant mortality rate due to infectious diseases that could have been prevented by immunization is still relatively high, there are 20 million children who have not received immunization services for toddlers around the world on a regular basis every year. This study aims to determine the complete basic immunization description and factors related to the complete basic immunization status in infants during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Vidyan Medika Clinic. This research was an analytical study with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted in April-May 2021. The study population of this study were all mothers who had healthy babies aged 9-12 months. The research sample taken was 71 respondents. The results of the univariate analysis showed that the average age of the mother was 28.63 years, the majority had tertiary education (39.4%), work status (57.7%), had child record immunization (69%), good knowledge (54, 9%) and complete immunization status (60.6%). The results of the bivariate test showed that the variables related to complete basic immunization status were maternal age (p value = 0.001), employment status (p value = 0.001), maternal education (p value = 0.000), child record immunization (p value = 0.007) and maternal knowledge about immunization (p value = 0.004). There are several factors that affect the status of complete basic immunization in infants during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely maternal age, mother's education, mother's employment status, child record immunization and mother's knowledge, in addition the baby’s mother is expected to control the factors that affect the complete basic immunization status. Keywords: Age, Education, Employment status, Immunization Status, Knowledge, Ownership of KIA books, Pandemic COVID-19.
