Abstract
Fracture is a crack on bones that is caused by trauma, or other physical exertion so that the fracture patient will experience pain from mild to severe. Based on data from the medical record section at the ER at the Mangusada Hospital, Badung Regency, the number of lower extremity fracture patients in the last 4 months of 2021 was 139 cases. The purpose of writing this KIA-N is to apply an analysis of acute pain nursing care for open fracture patients in the ER at the Mangusada Hospital, Badung Regency in 2021. The method in this KIA-N is to use the case study method. In the assessment phase, data was obtained in both managed patients complaining of pain. Based on the results of the assessment, it was found that the main nursing diagnosis raised was acute pain. One of the interventions to overcome the problem of nursing diagnosis of acute pain is the provision of deep breathing relaxation techniques. The results of the evaluation showed that by giving deep breathing relaxation techniques, the patient's pain was reduced. The provision of distraction techniques was an innovation carried out on both managed patients. With this research, it is hoped that health workers can implement deep breathing relaxation techniques to reduce pain in fracture patients.
