Abstract
ABSTRACT Sexual violence is defined as any sexual act, an attempt to commit a sexual act, commenting or suggesting unintentional sexual behavior or otherwise, an act of violation to have sexual intercourse with coercion against someone. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge about sexual violence in VI grade elementary school children at SD Pelangi Dharma Nusantara in Denpasar City in 2021. The research was conducted at SD Pelangi Dharma Nusantara from March to April 2021. The population of this study were children aged 11- 13 years old. The number of samples is 53 respondents with total sampling technique method. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire. The results showed that the knowledge level of the respondents showed an average score of 28.3 (good), then a score of 30 (sufficient) and a score of 8 (poor), and most of them had sufficient knowledge as many as 30 respondents (56.6%) . Based on the age of 12 years, as many as 30 respondents (56.6%). There were 27 female respondents (50.9%). The conclusion of this study is that most respondents have a sufficient level of knowledge. This is expected to be used as a basis for increasing knowledge in the health sector and can be used as input in the development of knowledge, especially regarding the level of knowledge about sexual violence in children in an effort to prevent sexual violence against children.
