Abstract

AN OVERVIEW OF PREGNANT WOMEN’S KNOWLEDGE ABOUT COVID 19 IN AN INDEPENDENT MIDWIFERY PRACTICE IN REGIONAL TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTING UNIT OF PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER II OF NORTH DENPASAR DISTRICT HEALTH OFFICE ABSTRACT The Indonesian government has designated the non-natural disaster of the spread of Covid-19 as a national disaster. Pregnant women are made a vulnerable group at risk of being infected with Covid-19 due to physiological changes during pregnancy. This study aims to describe the knowledge of pregnant women about Covid-19. This research is a descriptive observational study. This research was conducted at PMB in the working area of Puskesmas II Denpasar Utara from March 2021 to April 2021. The sample size in this study was 78 respondents. The sampling technique used is Non Probability Sampling using purposive sampling. Data collected using a questionnaire. Univariate analysis used a percentage calculation. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of pregnant women aged 20-35 years are 84.6%, secondary education is 47.4%, work as a housewife is 60.3%, and television media information sources are 69.23%. . Knowledge of pregnant women about Covid-19 transmission is categorized as good with a percentage of 75.6%, 20.5% enough and 3.9% less. The knowledge of pregnant women about symptoms was categorized as good with a percentage of 59%, enough 26.9% and less 14.1%. Knowledge of Covid-19 prevention is categorized as good with a percentage of 76.9%, 20.5% enough and less than 2.6%. Knowledge of pregnant women in general about Covid-19 is categorized as good with a percentage of 82.1% and 17.9% sufficient. Knowledge of pregnant women about Covid-19 is already good and so that it can be improved and always updated. PMB is expected to increase health promotion efforts by providing counseling about Covid-19 both directly and online media. Keywords : Covid-19, Knowledge, Pregnant women
