Abstract

RELATIONSHIP OF FREQUENCY ATTENDANCE TO POSYANDU WITH STUNTING EVENTS IN CHILDREN AGE 24 - 59 MONTHS ABSTRACT Integrated Service Point or Posyandu as a form of community empowerment in the health sector plays a strategic role in efforts to detect and treat stunting. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between frequency of attendance at Posyandu and the incidence of stunting in children aged 24-59 months in the Kintamani I Public Health Center. The research method used was quantitative analytic with cross sectional design. The sampling technique is proprotion stratified random sampling. The results showed that the majority of children under five were aged 36-47 months, namely 36%, 50.4% were female, 71.2% regularly attended Posyandu and 15% experienced stunting. From this study, it was concluded that there was a significant relationship between activity at the Posyandu and the incidence of stunting in children aged 24-59 months in the Region of Kintamani I Public Health Center. Children who are not active at Posyandu have twice the chance of experiencing stunting compared to those who are active at Posyandu (OR = 2.02 95% CI = 1.004 to 2.212). Posyandu is the spearhead of early detection in handling the problem of stunting in Indonesia. Keywords: Children under five, Frequency Attendance to Posyandu, Stunting
