Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF BLOOD PRESSURE PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE 2 IN BRSU TABANAN 2021 ABSTRACT Background Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease characterized by hyperglycemia as a result of reduced insulin production, or disruption of insulin activity or both. Patients with Type 2 diabetes often have higher blood pressure than normal people. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of blood pressure in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at BRSU Tabanan. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study with an observational design. This study was conducted from January to April 2021 in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with hypertension at BRSU Tabanan with a total of 33 respondents from 36 populations. The data collection method used was documentation observation. The results showed that from 33 respondents studied, patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at BRSU Tabanan in 2021 found that the majority of respondents' ages were mostly in the ≥ 45 years age range, namely 23 people (69.7%) with the results of respondents who suffered from Type 2 diabetes mellitus aged ≥ 45 years, the majority of them experienced stage 1 hypertension as many as 8 people (24.2%) with female gender as many as 7 people (21.2%).
