Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF EXTREMITY MUSCLE STRENGTH SCALE PATIENTS WITH NON HEMORRHAGIC STROKE AT RSUD KLUNGKUNG IN 2021 ABSTRACT Non Hemorrhagic Stroke is impaired nerve function that caused by obstruction in the blood vessels of the brain. This problem made the muscle strength decreased. Muscle strength can measured by Manual Muscle Testing. The purpose of this study is to determine the extremity muscle strength scale in non hemorrhagic stroke patients at RSUD Klungkung in 2021. The type of this study is quantitative descriptive with an observational design and used a retrospective approach with observation method from medical records about the muscle strength scale on the 1st and 7th day of hospitalization. This study was conducted in April with 52 sample that used consecutive sampling technique. Based on this study indicate that on the 1st day of hospitalization, the majority of respondent is in fair category with 19 respondents (36,5%) on dextra upper and lower extremity, 16 respondents (30,8%) on sinistra upper and lower extremity. On 7th day of hospitalization, the majority of respondents is in good category with 21 respondents (40,4%) on dextra upper and lower extremity, 22 respondents (42,3%) on sinistra upper and lower extremity. From this study, recommended that patients with non hemorrhagic stroke still have a treatment such as rehabilitation by nurse or health workers to maintain motor skills and muscle strength.
