Abstract
During pregnancy it is often a prospective mother to have a tooth and mouth complaint. The purpose of this study is to know the description of the level of oral and dental hygiene and dental caries in pregnant women who visited Klungkung I Health Center Klungkung regency 2018. This research type is descriptive with survey design by using the total population through direct examination of pregnant women. The results of 30 pregnant women had the highest peer percentage of OHI-S with moderate criteria of 50%, the percentage of OHI-S based on trimester of pregnancy in the first trimester was 60%, trimester II 61,53% and third trimester 42,85%. The average OHI-S of pregnant women is 2.43. The percentage of pregnant women affected by caries is as much as 80% with an average caries of 2.13. The percentage of dental caries based on the level of dental and oral hygiene has a caries average of 15 people with moderate dental and oral hygiene criteria. Suggested Officers Polyclinic Mother and Child to motivate patients (pregnant women) to check their teeth and mouth to Dental Polyclinic considering the condition of pregnant women can affect the cleanliness of teeth and mouth.
