Abstract
Maintenance of oral and dental health is often overlooked during puberty which is prone to dental and oral health problems. The purpose of this study is to know the description of the Behavior of Brushing and Dental caries on teenagers SekaaTerunaEka Dharma in BanjarGepokanPejengKelod Village Tampaksiring District Gianyar Regency 2018. This research is a descriptive study using total population of 45 teenagers. The results of this study showed that Teenagers with SekaaTeruna who brushed their teeth with the criteria need guidance 68,9%, enough criteria 11,1%, good criterion 11,1%, and criterion very good 8,9%. Teens affected by dental caries as much as 80%, the average dental caries that is 2.47. The frequency of adolescents who experienced dental caries based on tooth brushing behavior criteria were teenagers who brushed teeth with very good criteria dental caries, teenagers who brushed teeth with good criteria 1 adolescent (20%) had dental caries, brushing behavior with enough criteria 4 adolescents (80%) have dental caries, and teenagers who brush their teeth with criteria need guidance as many as 31 teenagers have dental caries (100%). It can be concluded that teenagers who practice brushing with criteria need higher guidance than teenagers who behave brushing teeth with very good criteria and average teeth caries Teenage SekaaTerunaEka Dharma is still in the low category.
