Abstract

ABSTRACT Gingivitis is a disease caused by gum disease. During pregnancy there will be changes in the hormones estrogen and progesterone in pregnant women. The porpose of this study is to describe gingivitis in pregnant women who visited the Puskesmas Payangan. This research is a deskriptive study with survey design. This study uses a total population of as many 38 respondents. The results showed that pregnant women were most affected by gingivitis in the second trimester of pregnancy as much as 44.74% and the least in the third trimester of pregnancy is 18.42%, Based on the results of most pregnant women's research done gingivitis with mild criteria as much as 22 people, and the least amount of heavy inflammation that is 3 people, whereas sextant is most often exposed to gingivitis in sextant IV (posterior region,) as much as 33 sextant. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that most pregnant women who visit Puskesmas Payangan have gingivitis, based on gingivitis most gingivitis is the age in the second trimester of pregnancy, and sextan most frequently exposed to gingivitis is sextant VI (posterior region).
