Abstract

Candidiasis is an infection caused by Candida albicans and other species in the genus of Candida. Infection by the Candida is still increase, this is influenced by predisposing factors. A significant increase of Candida on these predisposing factors can cause urinary tract infections. This study aims to identify Candida in the urine of patients with urinary tract infections in RSD Mangusada Badung. This research was conducted descriptively using secondary data from urine examination results in 2018 and 2019 in the Microbiology Laboratory of RSD Mangusada Badung. The sampling technique was saturated sampling. Secondary data showing a positive result of the fungus would be identified and characterized based on age, sex, and history of patients with urinary tract infections. The results showed the characteristics of patients with urinary tract infections 58.8% in the female sex, 55.9% in the age group 46-65 years, and 32.4% in diabetes mellitus disease, and also in the urine patients there were Candida albicans (73.5%) and Candida non-albicans (26.5%).
