Abstract
Dental health education aims to improve public understanding and awareness of the importance of maintaining oral health, also eliminating, or reducing dental and oral diseases. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of dental and oral health as well as tooth brushing behavior. This type of research is descriptive research using survey design. The sample of this research is simple random sampling that is simple random sampling. The result of this research is the knowledge level of Posyandu cadres in Sukawati 1 Puskesmas area, it is found that the percentage of Posyandu cadres who have the highest level of dental and oral health knowledge with sufficient category are 38 people (47,5%), good category is 27 people (33, 75%), very good category as many as 15 people (18,75%), no cadre of Posyandu get less category and failed. The average level of dental and oral health knowledge at Posyandu cadres is 68,9 with enough category. Behavior of toothbrushing on Posyandu cadres based on the highest toothbrushing skills with sufficient criteria as many as 43 people (53.75%), the criteria need guidance as many as 25 people (31.25%), and with good criteria as many as 12 people (15%), there are no Posyandu cadres who have excellent skills. The conclusion of this research is the level of knowledge of dental and oral health at Posyandu cadres mostly have the level of knowledge of dental and oral health with enough category as well as the average level of knowledge of dental and oral health has sufficient category. Behavior of toothbrushing based on skill at Posyandu cadre in Sukawati 1 Public Health Center mostly have tooth brushing behavior with enough criteria.
