Abstract
Improving oral and dental health is one of the efforts undertaken in the maintenance of dental and oral health from an early age. Good and correct tooth brushing behavior is done diligently, thoroughly, and regularly. The level of oral hygiene can be measured with an index of Oral Hygiene Index Simplified (OHI-S). The easiest way to maintain cleanliness and dental and oral health with teeth brushing. This study aims to find out how the Behavior Brushing Teeth and Dental Hygiene and Mouth School Students of Grade V SDN 1 Abiantuwung, Kediri, Tabanan Year 2018. This research is a descriptive research. The number of students of grade V SDN 1 Abiantuwung, Kediri, Tabanan is 33 students. The results of this study showed that all students of grade V SDN 1 Abiantuwung, Kediri, Tabanan with 33 students (100%) had tooth brushing behavior criteria need guidance, and good oral hygiene criteria as many as six students (18,2%), cleanliness teeth and mouth with moderate criteria as many as 25 students (75.8%), and dental and oral hygiene with poor criteria of two students (6%). Criteria of oral and dental hygiene of grade 5 students of SDN 1 Abiantuwung, Kediri, Tabanan mostly with moderate criteria. Keywords: Tooth brushing behavior, oral hygiene, fifth grade students
