Abstract
Dental and mouth conditions are influenced by several factors, one of which is tooth brushing behavior. Brushing behavior can affect the dental hygiene of the individual. The purpose of this research is to know the description of dental hygine level and mouth and brushing behavior of Kidung Pemulihan Jiwa Foundation At Manukaya Village Tampak Siring Year 2018. This research is descriptive research with 83 respondents. Data types are primary and secondary data. The results showed that the result of individual tooth brushing behavior was still very low, the visitors had OHI-S with good criteria of 8,43%, moderate criteria of 86,75%, and bad criteria of 4.82%. The average level of oral hygiene in the foundation visitor is 2.21 with medium criteria. Visitors of the foundation who have brushing behavior with good criteria as much as 2.40%, who have brushing behavior with enough criteria as much as 3.62%, who have brushing behavior with the criteria need guidance as much as 93.78% and no one has behavior brushing teeth with very good criteria. There are still many visitors who have a poor level of oral hygine as well as lack of knowledge about good and correct tooth brushing behavior and don’t know how to brushing teeth properly and correctly. It can be concluded that most of the dental hygine level and mouth visitors foundation with medium criteria that is as much as 86,75%. Keywords:Dental hygine level and mouth ; Brushing behavior
