Abstract

Disorders of bone density or osteoporosis and osteopenia are major public health problems caused by many factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of nutritional status and bone density levels in the elderly in the village of Tumbakbayuh, Mengwi sub-district. This type of research is a case study in the community by utilizing secondary data from the data collection of the Denpasar branch of the nutritional team conducted on November 12, 2019. The case study subjects were the elderly in Tumbakbayuh Village with 23 people. The data processed are nutritional status and bone density level. The results of this study were that of the 23 most people who had bone density levels in the osteopenia category were 11 people with a percentage of 47.82%. Nutritional status based on BMI / U index has the most normal nutritional status of 14 samples with a percentage of 60.86%. The highest proportion is case study subjects who have normal nutritional status with osteopenia bone density level of 8 people (61.13%) Keywords: Nutritional Status, Bone density level, Elderly
