Abstract
Oral and dental health is influenced by several factors, one which is oral hygiene that can cause dental caries. Dental and oral health problems in the 5-9 years age group were 27.7% and age 10-14 years were 22.4%. this data shows that dental and oral care in children is still in the very low category. The purpose of this study is to find out the picture dental and oral hygiene and dental caries in grade III and IV students of SDN 13 Sesetan, Denpasar Selatan in 2019. Research done is descriptive research. Results of research conducted at 25 students about dental and oral hygiene were obtained the most good criteria by 72%, the average OHI-S 1.03 with good criteria, students who affected by dental caries by 44% or 11 students with the number of dental caries as many as 17, the average dental caries is 0.68 with a very low category. The conclusion of this study is that most students have good dental and oral hygiene criteria of 72% with an average of 1.03 good criteria, students who experience caries with a percentage of 44% and an average dental caries of 0.68 which means that most students do not experience dental caries.
