Abstract

NURSING CARE DESCRIPTION OF PROGRESSIVE MUSCLE RELAXATION THERAPHY TO DECREASE UNCONTROLLED BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVEL IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE II DIABETES MELLITUS IN THE UPT KESMAS SUKAWATI I GIANYAR 2020 ABSTRACT Instability of blood glucose levels is the condition of patients experiencing an increase or decrease in blood glucose levels from the normal range, Indonesia ranks third of the 10 most DM sufferers in the world, UPT Kesmas Sukawati I Gianyar ranks 3rd with the highest number of DM sufferers from 13 health center in Gianyar Regency with a total of 1530 cases in 2019. This study aims to determine the description of nursing care providing progressive relaxation therapy to reduce instability in blood glucose levels in type II DM patients. This research uses descriptive research with a case study approach. The subjects used were 2 patients with the same case at UPT Sukmas I Gianyar. Nursing Care In the second assessment the patient experienced an increase in blood glucose levels. The diagnosis is the instability of blood glucose levels. The interventions given were management of hyperglycemia and progressive muscle relaxation therapy for 3 x 2 hours, the implementation provided was monitoring blood sugar levels, DM management education, and non-pharmacological therapy. After three visits there was an improvement in the patient's condition the results obtained were blood glucose levels in one patient from 264 mg / dl to 184 mg / dl and in patients two blood glucose levels 224 mg / dl to 164 mg / dl. The suggestion is that patients can apply progressive muscle relaxation therapy independently. Keywords: Instability, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Nursing care GAMBARAN ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PEMBERIAN TERAPI RELAKSASI OTOT PROGRESIF UNTUK MENURUNKAN KETIDAKSTABILAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE II DI UPT KESMAS SUKAWATI I GIANYAR TAHUN 2020 ABSTRAK Ketidakstabilan kadar glukosa darah adalah keadaan pasien mengalami peningkatan atau penurunan kadar glukosa darah dari rentang normal, Indonesia menempati peringkat ke-3 dari 10 negara penderita DM terbanyak di dunia, UPT Kesmas Sukawati I Gianyar menempati urutan ke-3 dengan jumlah penderita DM terbanyak dari 13 puskesmas di Kabupaten Gianyar dengan jumlah kasus 1530 penderita di tahun 2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran asuhan keperawatan pemberian terapi relaksasi progresif untuk menurunkan ketidakstabilan kadar glukosa darah pada pasien DM tipe II. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek yang digunakan 2 pasien dengan kasus yang sama di UPT Kesmas Sukawati I Gianyar. Asuhan Keperawatan Pada pengkajian kedua pasien mengalami peningkatan kadar glukosa darah. Diagnosis adalah ketidakstabilan kadar glukosa darah. Intervensi yang diberikan adalah manajemen hiperglikemia dan terapi relaksasi otot progresif selama 3 x 2 jam, implementasi yang diberikan yakni monitor kadar gula darah, edukasi manajemen DM, serta terapi non farmaklogi. Setelah dilakukan tiga kali kunjungan terjadi peningkatan kondisi pasien hasil yang didapatkan yaitu kadar glukosa darah pada pasien satu dari 264 mg/dl menjadi 184 mg/dl dan pada pasien dua kadar glukosa darah 224 mg/dl menjadi 164 mg/dl. Saran yaitu pasien dapat menerapkan terapi relaksasi otot progresif secara mandiri. Kata kunci : Ketidakstabilan, Relaksasi Otot Progresif, Asuhan keperawatan
