Abstract
RELATIONSHIP OF KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE LEVELS WITH COMPLIANCE WITH THE SELF-PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT IN WELDING LABOR IN CV. LESTARI JAYA Abstract In 2014 there were 53,319 cases, in 2015 there were 50,089 cases or an average of 414 cases in 2015 on PT Jamsostek data. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude with compliance in the use of Personal Protective Equipment on welding workers in CV. Lestari Jaya. The type of research uses the interview method with cross sectional approach to collecting data using questionnaires and bivariate and univariate analysis. The results of the study of 20 respondents compliance with the use of personal protective equipment 81.8% and not using two people (18.2%). For knowledge in the category of not good in the use of personal protective equipment using one employee (11.1%), and not using are eight employee (88.9%). Bivariate analysis shows that there is a very significant relationship between the level of knowledge and compliance (p=000) attitudes and compliance with the use of personal protective equipment (p=002). Knowledge of compliance with the use of personal protective equipment 0,633 (strong), for the attitude 575 (moderate) in the CV. Lestari Jaya.
