Abstract
Washing hands with soap is an effort to prevent disease. The focus of this CTPS is school children as agents of change for better health behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge, the role of the teacher, the availability of facilities and the action of washing hands with soap in SD Negeri 5 Pedungan in 2020. This research was a descriptive study. The number of samples taken was 34 students. Sampling using systematic random sampling. Data collection was carried out with a questionnaire for the level of knowledge, the role of the teacher and a check list for the availability of facilities and hand washing measures. The results showed that 31 students already had a good knowledge of hand washing and 3 students had enough. For the role of the teacher in the act of washing hands in students get 33 students from 34 students in the good category and only 1 student in the sufficient category. For the availability of facilities in SD Negeri 5 Pedungan, 3 main criteria are available. The 7 steps of hand washing from 34 students get 12 students categorized as good, 19 students categorized as sufficient and 3 students categorized as lacking. It is recommended for students to apply clean and healthy living behaviors, especially washing hands with soap in everyday life. Keywords: Knowledge, Teacher Role, Means, Action, Hand Washing
