Abstract
THE HYGIENE AND SANITATION OF HOME INDUSTRY JAJA ULI IN BANJAR TELANGA, DARMASABA VILLAGE, ABIANSEMAL DISTRICT 2018 ABSTRACT The Jaja Uli household industry is a traditional food making business and employs the people living around the manufacturing site. In this study examined three food industries with the number of employees two to four people. Preliminary observations in the field are the lack of personal hygiene hygiene from employees and there has been no effort to control the vector and the use of improper equipment. The purpose of this research is to know the personal hygiene of food handlers, equipment condition, water, foodstuff, food additives, presentation and condition of the merchant center in the three home industries. The categories of research are divided into two categories that are eligible and not eligible. The result of the assessment of the personal hygiene observation sheet of the food handler in home industry Ibu Yus got a score of 4 so that including the unqualified category, the Ibu Danun got a score of 7 so it belongs to the eligible category and in home industry Ibu Jengki got a score of 4 so that included the unqualified category of 8 items assessment. Suggestions for the three home industry owners are to provide special work clothes for employees to reduce the risk of contamination when processing food. So as to have standards in accordance with applicable regulations. Keywords: home industry, hygiene, sanitation
