Abstract
DESCRIBE OF TEETH BRUSHING BEHAVIOR AND DENTAL CARIES IN STUDENTS GRADE IV AND V ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 2 BUAHAN PAYANGAN GIANYAR IN 2019 ABSTRACT Dental and oral health care is often ignored in childhood which is very vulnerable to dental and oral health problems. The purpose of this reserach was to determine the description of brushing teeth behavior and dental caries in students of Class IV and V elementary school 2 Buahan Payangan Gianyar in 2019. This research was a descriptive reserach using a total population of 35 students. The results of this reserach shows that the frequencies of class IV and V elementary school 2 Buahan Payangan Gianyar have teeth brushing behavior with very good criteria of 2,9%, students with good criteria of 5,7%, students with sufficient criteria of 5,7%, and students with criteria need guidance of 85,7%, while students affected by dental caries are 91,4%. Conclusion of the results of this reserach that students who behave with brushing teeth criteria need guidance is higher than students who behave with brushing teeth with very good criteria and the average dental caries is 3,02 in the medium category.
