Abstract

THE DESCRIPTION OF TOTAL PLATE COUNT AND IDENTIFICATION OF Escherichia coli BACTERIA IN KUNYIT ASAM HERB ON STREET VENDOR AT KELURAHAN RENON ABSTRACT The herbs that is widely consumed by the public is kunyit asam herb. Kunyit asam herb must be tested through the safety and quality of BPOM if it is to be distributed and consumed. But there are still producers of kunyit asam herb that don't do this. This research was conducted to analyze the kunyit asam herb in Kelurahan Renon. The parameters analyzed were: total plate count and identification of Escherichia coli bacteria. This study used descriptive research with laboratory tests conducted at the Bacteriology Laboratory of the Department of Health Analysts. Sample in this research is 6 samples with sampling techniques is Non Probability Sampling. ALT tests were carried out with 2 samples (16.7%) not meeting the standard (≤ 107 colonies) and 4 samples (83.3%) meeting the standard (≤ 107 colonies) based on BPOM RI regulation No. 12 of 2014. The results identification of Escherichia coli is one sample was positive Escherichia coli (8.3%) and 5 samples (91.7%) negative. Based on the results above, the hygiene of kunyit asam herb in Kelurahan Renon obtained 2 samples not meet the standard and 4 samples that meet the standard. Traders of kunyit asam herb are expected to pay attention to the kunyit asam herb sold. Keywords: Kunyit asam herb, total plate count, Escherichia coli. � GAMBARAN ANGKA LEMPENG TOTAL DAN IDENTIFIKASI BAKTERI Escherichia coli DALAM JAMU TRADISIONAL KUNYIT ASAM PADA PEDAGANG KAKI LIMA DI KELURAHAN RENON ABSTRAK Jamu yang banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat adalah jamu kunyit asam. Jamu kunyit asam harus melalui uji keamanan dan kualitas BPOM jika akan didistribusikan dan dikonsumsi. Namun masih ada produsen jamu kunyit asam yang tidak melakukan hal tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisa jamu kunyit asam di Kelurahan Renon. Parameter yang dianalisa yaitu: angka lempeng total dan identifikasi bakteri Escherichia coli. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pemeriksaan laboratorium yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Bakteriologi Jurusan Analis Kesehatan. Besar sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu 6 sampel dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu Non Probability Sampling. Pemeriksaan ALT yang dilakukan didapatkan 2 sampel (16,7%) tidak memenuhi standar (≤ 107 koloni) dan 4 sampel (83,3%) memenuhi standar (≤ 107 koloni) berdasarkan peraturan BPOM RI No 12 Tahun 2014. Hasil identifikasi Escherichia coli yang dilakukan didapatkan 1 sampel positif Escherichia coli (8,3%) dan 5 sampel (91,7%) negatif. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan higienitas jamu kunyit asam di Kelurahan Renon diperoleh 2 sampel yang tidak memenuhi standar dan 4 sampel yang memenuhi standar. Pedagang jamu kunyit asam diharapkan untuk memperhatikan jamu kunyit asam yang dijual. Kata kunci: jamu kunyit asam, angka lempeng total, Escherichia coli.
